I had a chat with a friend today about a recent dream he had:
The Dream
"I would drive my car to the taxi station, pick up a taxi and drive it myself to work. Every night when I returned the taxi to the station the back left tire was blown."
He explained that the dream made him feel nervous and panicked.
The Interpretation
Driving your car to the taxi station and then driving a taxi represents your frustration with your long commute. The fact that you are driving the taxi rather than the taxi driver means that you feel like you are taking on too much that isn't usually your responsibility. When you blow the tire, and it happens repeatedly and it's the same tire, it means that you're dealing with an issue in your life that are beyond your control that you can't help. Since you're driving to and from work, I tend to believe that it's your subconscious telling you that your work stress is getting a little out of control. Change your perspective about things at work and you'll find a solution.
His response: Awesome! How do you do that?
I will tell you it's a bit easier when I know the person whose dream I'm deciphering, since I'm already aware of the things going on in their lives and can better relate certain issues that they might be overlooking. No worries though! If you don't know me, send me your dreams anyway. We'll have a chat and I'll get to the bottom of it, like I did with A Soldier's Sister. It doesn't take long, and I love doing it. You can email me or find me on MSN or AIM. Just check my profile. Hope to hear from you soon!
